March 14

On Monday, I don't have classes, but I did have an event for the Tourism Student Association. It was a hotel meeting at the 5-star Emporium Hotel in the Valley. It took a while to take a bus there and find the place, but luckily I left early. There was only about 14 of us, a small group, but the event went surprisingly well. We got a tour of the hotel, rooms, kitchen, event space, etc. which was followed by a question and answer session. Students asked some pretty pointed questions and the hotel was very informative. I found it pretty useful for our major and was surprised more people don't attend these functions!

After that, I had to go to Ashgrove for a package that was left for me at the post office. I had ordered books from school and since there was free home delivery, I opted for that. But since the post-man couldn't find me or no one was home or something, they left it at the post office. Normally, packages get held at the Paddington Post Office, which is inconvenient because it's up the hill, but this one was mysteriously left in Ashgrove (even farther away and not on the way from campus to my house!). So, I had to figure out the two buses to get there and it took an hour to get there and an hour to then take 2 buses back home! What a waste of my day. Silly me. Last semester I didn't even really buy books for classes, don't know why I decided to this time!

The rest of the day, I worked on TSA stuff and other school work. The tutor for one of my classes emailed us at about 8pm and asked us to do some homework that would be due at 9am the next morning! I rushed through it, knowing that most people wouldn't even get the email or have enough time to do it. I don't understand the concept of homework that we aren't graded for. Why would I waste my time doing something I'm not assessed on?? But of course, I did it because I don't want to look like a bad student in class. I ate dinner at about 10pm and then worked for the rest of the evening on a project for my boyfriend, until about 1am...
