January 15

Retouched some of my room in the morning, then cleaned my room and packed for Cambodia! Lina had a paper to write, so Jillian and Hilary and I left her alone to study and went out to dinner in the Valley. We ate at some Mexican fast food place that was OK, then had drinks at Cloudland, which is a bar with very cool atmosphere. We were very under-dressed, but because it was early and no one was going out because of the floods, they let us in. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and sat in the lounge place by the door. The waiter approached our table, and lost his balance causing each wine glass to tip and shatter on our table. He was so embarrassed that the host served us for the rest of the time. However, the host came over to ensure we would get great service, but proceeded to spill wine all over my lap while pouring the first glass. It was a comedy of errors and luckily we were good sports about it. The host told us our next drinks were free, but unfortunately the Sangria jug we had already purchased was too much to finish. We walked around the Valley, then took a bus back home.
