July 25

We woke up, some of us more hung over than others, and Michael drives us to Pando's for breakfast. It was a gloomy day, so we lounged around the house and figured out our schedule for our first day of classes. Then, we went to Rosalie for some dinner at a mediocre place called Tomatos (yes, it's spelled wrong!). We walked back in the rain, and as we passed the park near our house, we hear some animal calling out in the night. It sounded sort of like a weird bird or cat. Lina and Jillian were convinced it was a lost kitten, so as we got around the park, we decided to go searching for these poor, cold kittens. Just as we trek across the field to find them, the noises stopped. So we stood there in the dark, waiting for it to start up again. It didn't start up again, so we trek back across the field to our house and just as we get to the end of the park, it happens again. Puzzled and unsure what to do, we decided to go back and find the source. Finally, I see a silhouette in the dark of a crane! Jillian said, "We thought it was lost kittens and it ended up being some stupid bird's mating call!" Whomp Whomp
